Around 10 thousand people get together in May to participate on Copenhagen’s Marathon, taking place on the streets of our beautiful city. The Marathon commences at 9:30 am at the harbour front on Islands Brygge. There will be also half marathon, 10 K and a 3 K race for 13-16 years old.

For those loving classic cars, The Odsherred Rally is a must go during spring. The race takes place in Højby, North West of Sealand, about an hour driving from Copenhagen. This is a classic event with participation of vintage cars and motorbikes that all family can certainly enjoy.
International Viking Market

Enjoy an incredible week alongside Vikings, warriors and archers, just the way the used to live and work 1300 years ago. More than 500 vikings travel from all Europe to bring to life the International Viking Market in Ribe, the oldest city in Denmark! And just about 3 hours drive from Copenhagen. The market includes many exciting stalls, food, horses, bonfire and activities. Open Monday-Friday 10:00-16:00 and Saturday-Sunday 10:00-17:00.

Danish Beer Enthusiasts wait all year around for this 3 day event in which beer is the guest of honor. Beer tasting, new brands and food are part of this 3-day festival perfect to welcome summer, taking place at Lokomotivværksted, an old Locomotive workshop located in Sydhavn, south-west of Copenhagen.

To celebrate his 50th Birthday, Crown Prince Frederik will run, one mile in several cities around Denmark: Aalborg, Aarhus, Esbjerg, and Odense; to finish the day with a 10 K run in Copenhagen. Everyone is welcome to join in each of the five cities.

Distortion Festival is the biggest street party in Copenhagen with more than 300,000 people participating each year.
